Publishing Questions -  Can you help?

Posted by AgentsUnknown2018 on Jan 26, 2018 9:50:52 AM

Hello All,

I hope this message finds you well. This is my first time publishing and I have a few questions I wonder if you all may help me answer?

1. When publishing with Create Space does a Copyright page automatically generate with data I plug in? Or is this something I need to draft or complete on my own?

2. I will send my manuscript to individuals that I will ask to make a comment for the back of the book. Am I able to add those comments after publishing?

I thought I had more but that'll do for now. Thanks all!

First, you'll do better if you post as a question, not a blog.  Blogs just drop off the page.

CS prints from our PDFs (e.g. convert Word to PDF).  Anything you want in the book, anything, you must put in it.  CS does not format or design our books.  We do.  So your source file (Word, InDesign, etc.) must be made to look like the book you want.

You can revise your book (cover and interior) any time you want.  If you've approved it and enabled distribution, then it will be unavailable for some period of time.  What you can do is either order up to 5 proof copies, or re-upload one of the files and order up to another 5 copies, or approve the book and do not enable distribution.  Order as many copies as you want,  Give them out.  Collect comments for the cover.  Revise the cover and upload it.  Then approve the book and enable distribution.

I've left out: order a printed proof and review it very very very carefully.  Do it again when it's been revised.

Given the spam here, come on over to  selfpublishingforum.  It's free.  Many of us who answer questions here are active there.

Some say that cheating at school is bad, but very often it brings good results and high grades. Have you ever thought about it from this perspective? I recommend you to read the following article on how to cheat in math.
