2011 Competitions for Self-Published & Independently Published Books

VERSION 1
Created on: Feb 10, 2011 6:37 AM by CreateSpaceResources - Last Modified:  Feb 10, 2011 10:26 AM by CreateSpaceResources

It's awards season, so that means it's time to start thinking about book competitions for 2011! An award-winning book is more than a pat on the back for a job well done. Awards give you a marketing tool that could help you get noticed by the three 'R's: readers, retailers and reviewers. Remember, entering a particular competition is not a guarantee you will win, but not entering is guarantee you won't win. If you're reading this article after the deadlines listed below, bookmark the awards programs' websites and check them periodically for annual competition updates. In cases where it's applicable, I've provided the competition's Facebook group link. Why not join the group and get regular updates and meet some of the other entrants?

Here is a list of some industry competitions. Good luck!
