Right justify

Hi there,

Does anyone know which font/size is the best for justified text? My word file is created in Calibri 11, and many lines have visible too big spacing between the words. Thank you for your help.

Re: Right justify

Font size will change depending on the font you choose, having just tested calibri 11 I would say the size is ok and I liked it at 12.5 line spacing but that's my own preference. As to your justified white space issue this will not be due to font size but to hyphenation settings you will want to ensure hyphyenation is turned on and from there you can adjust the sensitivity or manually hyphenate to solve this.

Re: Right justify

I tend to go for Garamond 12 and I haven't noticed any problems with right justified. I also like 1.15 line spacing.

Re: Right justify
  • Monospaced fonts are the most difficult to set justified.
  • Calibri is much easier to set than verdana.
  • Although some people disagree, hyphenation is important for attractive pages.
  • You have condense and expand to help adjust letter spacing to remove widows (the last line of a paragraph at the top of a page) and to make things look good in general.
