Re: Share your book trailer......

Sometimes I wish I weren't so stupid (I feel stupid at any rate) with computers. I'm going to have to learn HOW to shorten the music! I know how to start at the very beginning of a song, but not how to start in the middle. lol

Re: Share your book trailer......

The main actors are a couple friends. I only make a small appearance and that's in the fire scene. I'm the dark haired girl sitting in the chair And I'm glad you liked it!

Re: Share your book trailer......

Hi Evelyn,

I agree that the fast pace and music (even the tone of the narrator- high/normal pitched, female voice) would all be appealing to small children. From that standpoint, it is definitely an entertaining trailer.

Keep in mind, however, that two year olds are also not looking at a trailer to see if they want to read the book. They are looking to be entertained. Therefore, the fact that your grandchild (e..g., a two year old) enjoyed the trailer, is not surprising. However, you say that very young children are not your demographic. Most people who are looking to see if they want to buy the book will be looking to see if the content and style fits their interests. They will want to know if it is directed to them (or to the person for whom they want to buy the book). The fact that I am confused and cannot pinpoint your desired audience may be part of the problem. So maybe we should back up and start over...To which age group are you marketing this book?

Here's my book trailer for Embassy, a YA science-fiction novel. Character-driven story about a guy who learns to take a step back from life and reevaluate what he stands for.

It's currently FREE on Amazon if anyone is interested!

Wow good job!

I hadn't even thought of doing a video trailer for a book... great idea!

I have tried virtually everything I can think of (so far!) to promote my book THE SHAMANIC PROPHECY. One of those early ideas was a YouTube video which has had over 700 views - shame that it doesn't reflect in an equal number of sales!

Re: Share your book trailer......

Hey there, folks. So I'm new to the board as well.

Here is the book trailer for my YA urban fantasy series (Mary of the Aether).

A  Young Adult series set in small-town Arkansas. Mary Lanham learns the  magical secrets of her past and confronts an ancient evil. The fate of  the whole world hangs in the balance.

Here are a couple of other book trailers of mine:

Shadows of Tockland - a post-apocalyptic adventure

Children of the Mechanism - science fiction, dystopia
