How to "compress" or reduce the size of AIFF files ?

I don't know if this is the right category as it concerns audio CD file formatting, not CD artwork (image) files

I tried to upload the music  content of my album but it says the file size of the zip archive was  too big (780 mb while the limit is 700 mb)

I then tried converting two  of the largest tracks from 16 bit AIFF to 8 bit AIFF, making the total  zip archive 692 mb, but it still displays an error about the source  format being 44100Hz 8 bit stereo instead of 44100Hz 16 bit stereo.

what are my options to distribute this album  ?

specifically, is there a way to "compress" AIFF files or at least reduce their size ?

if not, then what are other solutions to distribute the album on Createspace short of removing one track ?

I'm using audacity

thanks a lot for your support
