It's driving me mad. I moved over from Ingram Spark because I couln't open any of their templates they sent me. I have a proffesionaly drawn cover I want to use, but just the front cover image, not the spine or back cover. I have a seperate image for the back and the spine I could coulnd't care less about, anythign will do. I have had my book formatted to 5.250x 8.00. Create space is not offering a template to download in that size. I don't understand why I can't just use the cover generator and have the option to add my own pics to the front and back. How hard could that be? There is only one cover generated option but you have to use the same image over the back and front cover. I haven't a clue about how to make my own PDF cover with spine and back cover. Any suggestions please. I've spent days trying to reslove this alone.
Either the Palm or Pine template in the Cover Creator should (I believe - I don't use it) allow you to upload separate images for the front and back cover.
Or you can download a cover template from https://www.bookow.com/resources.php#cs-cover-template-generator, open it in a graphics program, and place your artwork on a new layer over the template, making sure that you completely cover the pink bleed areas.
Or you could hire someone to create a print-ready PDF for you that you could just upload and move on.

Thanks. That nearly worked for me. It's true in palm I can upoald a front and back cover, but the alinment interface is so basic I can't get the picutre to align and not go over into the bleed space. There are just these red dots to click on for alingment but I can't see how to just move my image or reduce it in size.
