BD-R Format through CreateSpace

When browsing movies I came across this film.

On the bottom it lists itself as a CreateSpace film and when you buy it it comes to you as a BD-R.

I'm guessing this is for Studios and you have to apply to that special studio program to be eligible for this, right? Or is there a way we can do Blurays and why hasn't CreateSpace offered this to us?

Re: BD-R Format through CreateSpace

I see nothing in the listing to indicate that this is a CreateSpace video. There is a link to search for CreateSpace videos, but that doesn't prove that this is one.

Amazon uses recordable media for DVD and, it appears, Blu-Ray discs for a variety of reasons. I've seen it for classic films of which the DVDs have gone out of production, and for foreign films, perhaps to save the cost of shipping physical media from abroad.
