Margin requirements for full bleed pictures

I am a bit confused about margin requirements for a full bleed book.  I am making a 8.5 by 11 child's book with full bleed.  I understand that I need to increase the size to 8.625 by 11.25 for bleed. What I am not sure abt is with regard to margins. Do I need to leave  .25 of white space all around? Will taht leave all of my picture in and all the way to the end? and that is within the 8.625 and 11.25?

You might want to read the CreateSpace PDF Submission Specification -- pages 34-37.

Re: Margin requirements for full bleed pictures

The minimum margin requirements apply to text and live elements, not your full-bleed images themselves. So the images should also be 8.625 X 11.25" but you cannot have any text or live elements closer to the edges than 0.375" on the top, outside, and bottom edges (the inside minimum margin depends on your page count, but will be at least 0.375" as well).
