Sturdy mailers for books?

Hello,

I am looking for a suitable mailer for sending copies of my book to family members. I am overwhelmed by the online options. Maybe you could help?

My book is 5.5" x8.5", 180 pages (1/2 inch?) I need 25 mailers.

I want to be certain that the book arrives in perfect condition, no possiblity of folds, bends, etc. so I think a kraft easy fold mailer (those cardboard things with pre-creased folds) would be the best choice.

I haven't been able to find a retailer that sells in small quantities (less than 50).

If you have a source, would you include a link?

Thank you for your help.

Re: Sturdy mailers for books?

Did you check your local post office and look specifically at those flat rate boxes they offer?

Re: Sturdy mailers for books?

I have found that the corners of proofs have been crushed despite being delivered in quite sturdy boxes. I've not tried this myself, but I wonder whether very stiff flat envelopes might be better for single books, since they would provide a kind of crumple zone at the corners. Next time I ship a single book I am going to try this, wrapping the book in paper first.
