createspace and barcode

On the barcode createspace provides, is it ever possible to get a price on the barcode?

Ask them, but I doubt it. Neither do I think it is a smart thing to do.

If you want a price code, then you must provide a bar code with the price included.  Also, if you want the bar code someplace other than the bottom right of the back cover, you must place the bar code yourself.  In either case, CS will replace it with its own bar code, but it will have the same price your provided, if you provided a price.  (I know this from recent personal experience.)  There are free bar code generators on the internet.  As to whether a price is a "good idea," if you sell through channels other than Amazon.com, a bar code with price is expected.  For those channels I use Ingram Spark (Amazon's expanded distribution costs more) so in theory one could have no price code for Amazon and a price for Ingram Spark, but my personal preference is to have books from both printers look as much alike as possible.
