Why does my cover come out shortened?

I have a 6 X 9 book, 80 cream colored pages. My PSD and PDF files are all 12.75 wide x 9.249 high with 325 DPI

The resultant book cover picture is 3/8" too short for height and 3/16" too short for width.

All of the proof books I've received have had correct covers, but when purchased through Amazon, they all have the short picture covers.

Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks in advance

Recheck your cover dimensions.   I haven't done the calculations, but your cover pdf may not be the exact size needed.

Re: Why does my cover come out shortened?

I would download a cover template from Bookow Then I would use that to confirm that your cover art is correct.

Your description is a little confusing.  Could you post a picture of your cover here?  Upload it to a site, you web site or a file sharing site.  Post either the link or embed it in the post (click on HTML button, upper right of this window, then type

<img src="http:your_image_URL.jpg" />

You must use the quotation marks. When you click on Show Full Editor, you should see your image.

Re: Why does my cover come out shortened?

See https://www.createspace.com/Products/Book/CoverPDF.jsp for calculation details.

An 80 page book using cream paper has a .2 inch spine.  Width of pdf should be  (for a 6x9 book).125+6+.2+6+.125=12.45; height should be .125+9+.125=9.25

Though your dimensions aren't exactly that they're pretty close, so I don't have an answer to your question.  I would try re-saving the pdf to the exact size of 12.45 x 9.25 and resubmitting.  Sometimes if you submit something that's not exact (or seems that way) someone may try to fix the problem for you and overcorrect.
