Re: Best-Seller suddenly showing no sales, don't understand why!

I also have an Amazon "bestseller." I had the same problem in December. Happily, the expected sales showed up as royalties in February. I have been on CS for several years, so have an idea of what seasonal sales numbers should look like.

However, I am now having the same shock. Easter time is my second biggest sales period historically, and this year, my sales are dismal. I thought the royalty delay in Dec. is due to back orders, but I am afraid that my book has "suddenly" either run its course, or sales are not being logged.

It is really odd to see sales tank like this. I am an aggressive marketer with a newsletter and popular social media pages. My subscriptions are steadily rising with both----so where are my book sales? Could this have anything to do with CS possibly moving to Amazon KDP?

Re: Best-Seller suddenly showing no sales, don't understand why!

Sorry to hear that there has been an unexplained change on the dashboard. Last month was normal for me and this month so far seems to be as well. Nothing yet that jumps out. Hopefully for you it is a stock up again since Easter time is a normally higher sales season for you. Highly doubt the interest in the book just suddently dropped off. Keep us posted if you learn anything from CS or if a bigger order suddenly appears.

Re: Best-Seller suddenly showing no sales, don't understand why!

I don't see anything odd, either, apart from that business of having December sales pushed into January (which, I suspect, may have caused some lost sales or cancelations or refunds when people found their Christmas gift wasn't going to arrive before Christmas).

Indeed, my CreateSpace sales have held up fine for April so far, while my ebook sales are down (way down, in the case of stores outside of Amazon).

Good luck! -- NJ
