My Website:
Born 1936 in Harrisburg, IL. I learned to read before going to school and loved to listen to my Dad, Luther Yarber, and grandfather, Henry Burns, sit around a pot bellied stove and tell hunting stories. The love of storytelling was instilled at a young age. I started writing short stories and poetry at about age 12 and studied Journalism at El Camino College, Torrance, CA after a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy. I have written for ship's newspaper, company and union newspapers, The Union County Advocate (local paper) and a few magazines. Won the Hawthorne (CA) Press Advertiser award for feature story while attending college.
My interests:
Writing and golf. I am also an active participant in Church. I believe that it is possible to write good books without the profanity common in todays media. I do not use four letter profanity, explicit sex scenes or psychonut serial killers in my mysteries. Just good old fashioned gumshoe stuff.

"Train to the Sun" is my latest book, a Western in the old tradition of Luke Short and Zane Grey, but with a mystery written in.
My accomplishments:
6 books in print. At age 77, I feel that God has blessed me with a sound mind and the ability to entertain people with my books.
