Linking paperback to Kindle on Amazon

How do I link my existing Kindle book to my newly live paperback?

So I have entered the ISBN for my Kindle. I thought it would automatically figure out that those two books are the same.  But it did not. So I thought I need to manually indicate the link from Amazon Author Central. But I have not found that function. Anybody has any ideas?  Many thanks!

Re: Linking paperback to Kindle on Amazon

I published the paperback before the kindle version, but after the kindle version came out, Amazon put a link to the kindle page automatically. I am not sure how it would work going the other way, but I would suspect there should be a way.

Search your title on amazon. When I do mine, both show up. Click on either one and see if the link to the other exists.

Re: Linking paperback to Kindle on Amazon

It should link automatically if the titles are both the same. Under the price etc of your book there should be a box that says 'format' and that contains a link that potential customers click to go to the kindle version or any other versions you may have. I have two paperbacks and a kindle

version. I suggest you click on the feedback button on your amazon author central page and send an email asking for the two versions to be linked.

Re: Linking paperback to Kindle on Amazon

I think both of mine are linked, because when I go under author central, they both automatically pop up.  However, I've had issues with searching myself.  The Kindle version of "Wavering" appearerd first. Then, when my paperback version came available for purchase, I could see both versions when I searched under my name and title. However, now I only see the Kindle version unless I add "paperback" to the search engine. I'm not sure how to get both versions to pop up at the same time.  I don't want to remove either version, so I'm just including the links to purchase each like I do on my webpage.

Re: Linking paperback to Kindle on Amazon

Hi Zee,

What happens is that when your ebook dissapears the Amazon staff is working to merge your paperback and ebook. It usually takes a few days. That was my experience.
