Re: Announcing CreateSpace Marketing Central!

It would be helpful if there were a central database of free resource (press releases, articles, directories, etc) where we could both find and post links to helpful resources?

Here is a post I created on another thread, but I think it's more relevant to this discussion.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Everyone,

Here are a few free websites to help promote books.  Check them out and add your book where appropriate:

Cheap eBooks - 99 Cents or Less: http://99cent-books.com

This website is for self-published authors only.  Submit your book if it costs $0.99 or less, is rated 4+ stars, and has 10+ reviews.   They only check your rating and price at the time it's added.  Changes in price and rating will not result in having your book removed.

Book Club Reading List: http://bookclubreading.com/

Book clubs who have read your book would like to book you.  If you make yourself available by Skype, phone, or in person (when possible), you can add your book to this site.  They will send out a monthly email (sometimes every other month) to book clubs that are interested in booking authors.

Signed Editions: http://signed-edition.com/

Are you signing books somewhere?  Or, have you left signed copies on consignment?  Use this website to list all of the places collectors can find your signed editions.  This is an easy way to put links on the Internet that point back to your book's website.

Travel Novels: http://travelnovel.com/

Have you written a travel novel?  Maybe you've not thought about your book like this before.  Is your book set in another country that would make for a good travel companion?  Have any interesting articles been written about your book in this light?  Add it here for free.  If not, you could pay to have a review performed and added.

I hope these free resources help.

Re: Announcing CreateSpace Marketing Central!

A great marketing tool for debut novelists is entering ForeWord Firsts' 2012 Spring Release competition. It's not free, but nearly free. There is a $25.00 entry fee.

ForeWord Firsts is a quarterly contest with the goal of highlighting the brightest POD/self-published works we see. This program puts your book before buyers--librarians, publishers, booksellers, and readers.

Titles must be postmarked no later than July 10, 2012.

For more information, check out https://www.forewordreviews.com/services/foreword-firsts/firsts/
