Missing spine text

For my first book, about 3 years ago, I used a custom cover with no spine text. The title and author were added automatically by CS.

So now, I'm trying to do the same thing. But my proof copy came with no spine text at all.

I'm looking through the steps and options, and I can't see where I can make the spine text have something in it.

Maybe, 3 years ago, I used the cover creator? And that process added the spine text? If so, how do I repeat that process, while inserting my own cover art?

I try to take notes, but on this point I totally failed when I did my first cover.

Thanks for any advice,

Re: Missing spine text

It's unheard of for CreateSpace to add spine text to a custom cover, so you must have used the cover creator. Most people who respond on this forum have no experience of using the cover creator but the word is that the Palm or Pine options allow you to submit your own artwork.

Re: Missing spine text

Books under 110 pages will not have spine text added by Cover Creator.

Books with at least 100 pages can have spine text if you design the cover yourself.  Under 100 pages they can not have spine text at all.
