OpenOffice for Ingram Spark

I have never used Ingamspark, but since I write some stuff in a language KDP will not support, I am going to give them a go. What I would like to know is will they accept a pdf exported from OpenOffice (pdfx-1a) and can one use the create space templates? I will not have any internal pictures, only text.

Any answers much appreciated.

Re: OpenOffice for Ingram Spark

The one answer I do know, because I asked the Ingram rep who worked with me in transferring all of my CS books there, is that if and only if you transfer books from CS to IS can you keep the Cover Creatored/CS cover.  You must design your own cover, or hire a desiner to do so, when publishing new book with IngramSpark.  So, we cant save our CS covers as PDFs and use them on IS.

I have now (yet) published a book with IS, so I can't answer any questions about that aspect.

Re: OpenOffice for Ingram Spark

IngramSpark accepted my OpenOffice PDFs (using X-1a) without a hitch. I don't use CreateSpace's templates myself, but I can't see how they would cause any problems with IS.
