Which type of file do I submit for the illustrations?

My illustrator is providing me with both a CYMK JPG file, and a CYMK PSD file (source file). The colors look much different when I open them on my computer. Since I do not have photoshop, I cannot make needed changes to the source file he provided. So will it be ok for me to make changes on the JPG file, and use that to submit for printing? Or do they need the PSD source file for quality printing?

I am new to this, and know nothing about using this site, publishing, or printing. So as much information as you can provide, in lamen terms, the better! Thank you!

They need a complete PDF of the entire interior.

CreateSpace is being merged with KDP Print so you may want to start there instead. Whichever printer you use, you should read their specifications thoroughly.
