Book sale revenue

What is the average sale that a author can expect of self publishing? If the book was to make it big, what restrictions apply to another publisher buying the rights and then selling it? Does CS spen any dollars on promotion? if only a few dollars make it to the writer, what is the breakup of revenue distribution? guess to many question but was wondering....grateful if someone can respond

Re: Book sale revenue

No, CS does not spend any money on promotion. Promoting the book is totally up to the author. All CS does is supply an E-store that we can give people links to and they set it up to go onto Amazon.com.

Revenue depends on what you set your royalty at and if you have the Pro plan which allows greater revenue.  For example, my one book will sell on Amazon for $13.89, I don't have the pro plan so when it sells I get .56 revenue but that's what I set it for because the higher royalty the higher the book price is.
